Qingyuan Maglev Line Technical Visit
Introduction
The China Hong Kong Railway Institution and the Guangdong Railway Society will jointly organize the “Qingyuan Maglev Line Inspection Tour” to foster exchanges on experiences in the construction, operation, and maintenance of maglev lines.
As Guangdong’s first low- to medium-speed maglev tourism line, the Qingyuan Maglev Line spans 8.1 kilometers and serves three stations. During the station visit, participants will explore the seamless transfer design and wayfinding systems at Maglev Yinzan Station, which connects with the Guangqing Intercity Railway. The participants will experience the stability of the low- to medium-speed maglev train, with “ground flight stability” (with an maximum speed of 132.9 km/h). Attendees will also observe the levitation principle (non-contact electromagnetic force) and enjoy the animal-themed interior designs (featuring elements like red-crowned cranes and giraffes). Additionally, the visit includes Maglev Chimelong Station, where participants will learn about the role of maglev technology in enhancing tourism transport efficiency.
